ServicesTechnical Consultancy

Make informed decisions before committing to development.

Independent advice, whether or not we built the system. From a one-off review to an experienced technical lead when your team needs one.

What’s included

Technical Consultancy, covered.

Make informed decisions before committing to development. We review existing systems, assess platforms and integrations, and help define a practical approach, scope and budget.

  1. 01

    Platform and integration decisions

Choosing a CMS, framework, hosting set-up or integration approach that fits your content, team and budget.

  2. 02

    System reviews

Code, performance, security and accessibility reviews of existing systems, with a prioritised list of what to fix.

  3. 03

    Proposal reviews

Checking other suppliers’ quotes and technical proposals, so you know what you are buying.

  4. 04

    Troubleshooting

Finding the cause of slow pages, failing integrations and errors that never quite get fixed.

  5. 05

    Scope and budget

Turning requirements into a clear scope and specification, with a realistic budget, that developers can quote against and build from.

  6. 06

A technical lead when you need one

Senior technical input for your organisation without hiring a full-time role.

Questions

Common questions.

Do you only advise on systems you built?

No. Much of our consultancy is on systems built by other agencies or in-house teams.

Will you just recommend your own services?

No. The aim is the right answer for your organisation. Sometimes that is a small fix your current supplier can make, or not doing something at all.

What do we get at the end?

A written report with findings, priorities and recommended next steps, and a call to talk it through.

How is consultancy charged?

We agree the scope and cost before we start, whether that is a fixed-price audit or ongoing time.
